MedEx Ambulance Service Inc. in Skokie, IL, seeks a Dispatch Manager to oversee our 24/7 ambulance communications center, ensuring responsive leadership and smooth operations across emergencies and routine calls.

The role demands flexibility, focus on high‑quality service, and strong cross‑team collaboration. You will supervise dispatch staff, coordinate emergent and inter‑facility responses, and drive process improvements while reporting to the Communications Center Director.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years EMS Communications Center management experience.
• EMT-B or EMT-P license (preferred, not required).
• EMD certification (preferred, not required).
• Demonstrated leadership and organizational skills.
• Excellent communication and decision-making abilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise dispatch personnel.

Position Overview

MedEx is hiring a Dispatch Manager to oversee the daily operations of our 24/7 ambulance communications center. This role demands flexibility, leadership, and a focus on delivering high-quality service in both emergency and non-emergency situations.

The Dispatch Manager will:

• Lead and supervise dispatch personnel
• Coordinate emergent and inter-facility response activities
• Maintain compliance with operational and safety standards
• Foster strong communication across internal teams and with external partners
• Continuously improve dispatch processes and service delivery
• Report directly to the Communications Center Director

Compensation: Salary is competitive and commensurate with experience
