Job Description

The Ambulance Attendant - ALS–P performs or assists in transporting patients of all ages to various healthcare facilities, ensuring safety and compliance with protocols. Additional duties may be assigned as needed.

Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED preferred
  • At least 2 years of experience as a cleared ALS provider with a 911 or inter-facility transport agency preferred
  • State EMT/Paramedic certification, EVOC, valid driver's license, and BLS, ACLS, PALS certifications
Skills & Requirements
  • Ability to stay calm and organized in emergencies
  • Flexible to rotate shifts, including weekends and holidays
  • Effective communication skills, basic computer knowledge, and physical ability to lift up to 100 lbs with equipment
Physical Demands

Medium to heavy physical activity, including sitting, standing, walking, bending, lifting, and pushing up to 100 lbs. Safety equipment use is required for weights over 35 lbs.

  • May require infection prevention equipment use
  • On-call responsibilities and travel between facilities may be necessary
