Amazon Robotics empowers a smarter, faster, more consistent customer experience through automation. We automate fulfillment center operations using robotic technology including autonomous mobile robots, control software, language perception, power management, computer vision, depth sensing, machine learning, object recognition, and semantic understanding of commands. Our focus on R&D explores new opportunities to extend our product lines into new areas.

This internship/co-op/full-time opportunity is based in the Greater Boston Area at our facilities in Westborough, MA and North Reading, MA, offering direct access to robotics testing labs and manufacturing facilities.

Key job responsibilities

  • Analyze robotic systems, improve dashboards, and create data pipelines through AWS.
  • Use data and technology to identify improvements or disruptions in storage operations.
  • Deep dive into issues and influence future decisions.
  • Automate and standardize tools and processes.
  • Communicate analyses effectively with stakeholders.

About The Team

The RST-BAND team supports data exploration, analysis, and communication for Amazon Robotics fulfillment and product development using design of experiments, statistical modeling, data pipelining, visualization, and more.

Basic Qualifications

  • Enrolled in a Bachelor's, Master’s, or higher degree in a relevant field (Mathematics, Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, etc.).
  • Eligible for a 5-6 month full-time in-person internship in Spring 2025.
  • Experience with dashboards (Tableau, PowerBI, Looker, Grafana).
  • Proficient in SQL and basic Python for analysis and modeling.
  • Effective communication of analytic results.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of statistics, A/B testing, and distributions.
  • Familiarity with AWS data tools like S3, Glue, Sagemaker, Athena.
