Responsibilities

  • Replenish depleted pick lines with the next available product while maintaining proper rotation.
  • Rotate products in accordance with dates and rotation policies and product codes.
  • Operate forklift, pallet jack, cherry picker and related equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Assist with order building and general warehouse tasks as needed.
  • Provide exemplary customer service to internal/external customers and vendors.
  • Maintain cleanliness and adherence to safety policies in the warehouse.

Job description

Position Description:The Equipment Operator/Laborer is responsible for, replenishing the layer picking line and the manual pick line from the depletion of product from the building shift. Additionally, this position assists in general warehouse functions as needed. Performs all duties within the objectives, standards, mission and policies of Doll Distributing LLC; State of Iowa laws and regulations governing the beer industry; and brewery/supplier requirements.Essential Functions:Replenish depleted pick line with the next available product while maintaining proper rotation.Rotate product in accordance with the freshness, product code dates and rotation policies as set by Anheuser-Busch and other suppliersLearn, interpret and apply product code dates in accordance with policyEnsure all products are properly stackedOperate warehouse machinery safely (i.e. Forklift, pallet jack, cherry picker etc) and efficiently according to company policyMaintain a high degree of accuracy while performing job dutiesProvide exemplary customer service to external/internal customers and vendorsRepresents the company in a professional and courteous mannerOther duties as assignedNon Essential Functions:Assist with order building as neededAssist in maintaining cleanliness of the warehouseAssist with other daily tasks including out of code processing and close to code.Assist with customer pick-upsEssential Skills and Knowledge:Basic mathematical aptitude skillsAbility to work independently with minimal supervisionExcellent time management skills; ability to prioritize work functionsAbility to work with a diverse group of people and customers.Qualifications:18 years of age or olderHigh School or GED (General Education Diploma) requiredAbility to obtain certification in forklift and pallet jack operationsWarehouse experience preferred.Ability to learn, interpret and apply product code dates for each brewer.Working Conditions:Temperature/ClimateThis position will constantly be in a climate-controlled environment (60-68 degrees) and Occasionally in an outdoor (covered) environmentSafety ConsiderationsThis position will routinely drive forklift trucks (Constantly), pallet-jacks and other cleaning equipment (Occasionally)Personal Protective Equipment necessarySteel-toed boots/shoes with skid-proof soles may be requiredPhysical/Mental Organizational CapabilitiesSitting – ConstantlyStanding/Walking/Bending – FrequentlyClimbing – OccasionallyLifting – Minimum of 24lbs (frequently)– Maximum of 165lbs (Occasionally)Push/Pull below shoulder height – up to 65lbs (Occasionally)Push/pull at or above shoulder height – up to 27lbs (Occasionally)Attention to detail, Problem Solving – Constantly.Enter/Exit Forklift or pallet jack (up to 17-inch step) – OccasionallyHankle (hold, grasp, seize, turn) – ConstantlyReach up to or above shoulder height – Occasionally
