Job summary

Acadia Healthcare's Boston Comprehensive Treatment Center (CTC) seeks an RN Dispensing Nurse for Per Diem hours in an outpatient MAT setting in Boston, MA. Shifts include early mornings and variable days with limited heavy lifting and no bedside care.

You will assess patients, administer medications, monitor vitals, educate patients and families, and document care while collaborating with the clinical team to ensure safe, effective treatment in a compliant environment.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing (RN)
• Prefer 1 year of nursing experience in behavioral health or outpatient treatment
• Experience with MAT or addiction recovery settings is a plus
• Ability to operate and maintain medical equipment safely
• Proficient in drawing blood and lab specimen collection
• Proficient in EMR systems and clinic software
• Capable of patient assessment and vitals monitoring
• Administer medications as prescribed and document care accurately
• Observe and document patient responses and treatment outcomes
• Knowledge of regulatory requirements related to controlled substances

Responsibilities

• Work under supervision of Nursing Supervisor, Medical Director, and Clinic Director
• Prepare and administer medications as ordered in a timely manner
• Document medication administration and nursing care in patient records
• Maintain inventory and safekeeping of medications per regulatory rules
• Dedicate about 90% of time to medication administration
• Conduct urine and/or blood tests, read results, complete intake assessments
• Complete documentation per clinic standards
• May transport medication to other locations or work on a mobile unit
• Perform other duties as assigned
