Job Summary

Serves as a Material Handler in all stages of the shipping and receiving process, performing the following duties. Other duties may be assigned.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Follow proper department procedures outlined in Daily’s training manuals.
• Operate powered industrial equipment.
• Understand the process of building pallets.
• Load and unload trucks following established processes and procedures.
• Repetitively move or stack cases.
• Receive raw materials and finished goods according to process and procedure.
• Participate in inventory audits.
• Use company scan guns and software properly.
• Work in a refrigerated environment.

Qualifications

Education and Experience: High school diploma or GED preferred; 1-3 months related experience/training or equivalent.

Language Skills: Ability to read, comprehend, and write simple instructions and correspondence. Bilingual skills preferred.

Mathematical Skills: Ability to apply basic math concepts.

Reasoning Ability: Interpret instructions in various formats.

Physical Demands: Stand/walk on concrete for 10+ hours/day, lift/move up to 40 lbs regularly, up to 65 lbs occasionally, and up to 100 lbs with assistance. Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, crawl. Vision abilities required include close, distance, peripheral, depth perception, and focus adjustment.

Work Environment: Near moving mechanical parts, exposed to cold, wet, humid conditions. PPE required due to noise levels.

Schedule: Based on departmental needs, may include Sundays.
