Job summary

ASTEMO AMERICAS, INC. is seeking a manufacturing/operator to perform precise operations on components in a plant setting. You will follow operator sheets or verbal instructions, check dimensions with gauges, and determine pass/fail for products.

The role includes assisting with tool changes and maintaining quality through daily data logging. Applicants should have a high school diploma, basic math and reading abilities, and the dexterity to operate machinery.

Qualifications

High School diploma or equivalent.
Basic math skills.
Sufficient reading and writing ability to follow work orders.

Responsibilities

Operate according to operator instruction sheets and verbal instructions to perform operations.
Check products and/or component dimensions with gauges as described in procedures or work instructions.
Determine good or NG product.
Assist in tool changes and changing of simple parts and fixtures.
Visually and manually check for defects in product or workmanship.
Input daily data to maintain charts and reports for manufacturing, engineering, quality, material control, and sales.
Maintain clean and orderly work area per 5S policy; comply with work instructions to ensure product quality.
Follow safety rules per Hitachi policy and stay aware of hazardous conditions in machining environments.
Suggest and implement continuous improvement programs.
