Job summary

Qualifications

• Requires completion of Serv Safe Certification within 90 days of hire.
• Must have excellent attendance record and reliable work behavior.
• Knowledge of kitchen sanitation procedures in a school/institution setting.
• Experience with food service in school or institutional environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Submit food, beverage and supply orders to kitchen manager or cook in a timely manner.
• Inventory food and supplies to determine usage and needs.
• Check food shipments and verify invoices or delivery tickets.
• Prepare and heat food according to planned menus and serve portions per USDA guidelines.
• Maintain safety and cleanliness standards in kitchen and serving areas.
