Job summary

Pero Family Farms is seeking an AM Production Line Lead for the Delray Beach, FL operation. This hands-on role will manage the AM production line from start to finish, ensuring targets are met, quality is maintained, and the team operates efficiently on onsite shifts.

The ideal candidate will oversee training, safety, and performance, while coordinating with supervisors to optimize yields, reduce waste, and maintain inventory accuracy. This is a full-time on-site position with non-exempt status.

Qualifications

• High School Education / G.E.D. preferred or applicable certification.
• Working knowledge of basic produce standards, and customer fresh wrap specifications preferred.
• Possess verbal and written communication skills.
• Must have a working knowledge of English language.
• Basic Mathematical abilities.
• Ability to train staff on safety requirements and enforce safety requirements.

Responsibilities

• Overseeing production: Managing the production process from start to finish.
• Ensuring production targets and deadlines are met.
• Monitoring production line performance and identifying areas for improvement.
• Leading and motivating the production team.
• Assigning tasks and responsibilities to direct reports.
• Providing training and development opportunities.
• Addressing employee concerns and resolving conflicts.

• Conducting safety inspections and addressing hazards.
• Inventory management: Monitoring inventory levels, ensuring sufficient materials are available, and communicating shortages.

JOB PURPOSE

Responsible for the overall success of the team and department with the day-to-day emphasis leveraging product line equipment expertise to efficiently and effectively manage line employees to accurately produce orders in accordance with product specifications. Ensure ongoing quality and safety requirements, line training and coaching for optimal line performance and employ fulfillment. Operational expertise developments in both products and equipment for exceptional yields throughout line runs and change overs.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES

• Equipment maintenance:
• Identifying equipment repair needs, file work orders, and coordinating repairs.
• Process improvement:
• Identifying opportunities to improve production processes.
• Implementing process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
• Communication:
• Communicating effectively with team members, supervisors, and other departments.
• Providing regular updates on production status and performance.

PHYSICAL & ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS

• Required to stand for long periods
