Job summary

Pero Family Farms is seeking an AM Production Line Lead in Delray Beach, FL to oversee line teams, ensure on-time production, and maintain quality and safety standards.

You will coach staff, monitor line performance, implement process improvements, and coordinate with supervisors to meet daily targets. This onsite, full-time role requires strong communication and safety focus.

Qualifications

• High School Education / G.E.D. preferred or applicable certification.
• Working knowledge of basic produce standards and customer fresh wrap specifications.
• Verbal and written communication skills are essential.
• Must have a working knowledge of English language.
• Basic mathematical abilities.
• Ability to train staff on safety requirements and enforce safety requirements.

Responsibilities

• Oversee production: manage the production process from start to finish and meet targets.
• Lead and motivate the production team; assign tasks to direct reports and provide training.
• Maintain quality control per Pero Family Farms standards; inspect products and resolve defects.
• Troubleshoot line issues and implement improvements for efficiency and safety.
• Ensure a safe working environment and enforce safety regulations.

Job Purpose

Responsible for the overall success of the team and department with the day-to-day emphasis leveraging product line equipment expertise to efficiently and effectively manage line employees to accurately produce orders in accordance with product specifications. Ensure ongoing quality and safety requirements, line training and coaching for optimal line performance and employ fulfillment. Operational expertise developments in both products and equipment for exceptional yields throughout line runs and change overs.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Overseeing production:
• Managing the production process from start to finish.
• Ensuring production targets and deadlines are met.
• Monitoring production line performance and identifying areas for improvement.
• Team management:
• Leading and motivating the production team.
• Assigning tasks and responsibilities to direct reports.
• Providing training and development opportunities.
• Addressing employee concerns and resolving conflicts.
• Quality control:
• Implementing and maintaining Pero Family Farms quality control standards.
• Inspecting products for defects and ensuring they meet Pero Family Farms specifications.
• Identifying and resolving quality issues.
• Problem-solving:
• Troubleshooting production line issues and equipment malfunctions.
• Developing and implementing solutions to improve efficiency and productivity.
• Safety:
• Ensuring a safe working environment for all employees.
• Enforcing safety regulations and procedures.
• Conducting safety inspections and addressing hazards.
• Inventory management:
• Monitoring inventory levels, ensuring sufficient materials are available, and communicating shortages.
• Managing stock rotation (FIFO) and preventing product waste.
• Reporting:
• Collecting and analyzing production data.
Preparing reports on production performance, quality metrics, and safety incidents.

Additional Responsibilities

• Equipment maintenance:
• Identifying equipment repair needs, file work orders, and coordinating repairs.
• Process improvement:
• Identifying opportunities to improve production processes.
• Implementing process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
• Communication:
• Communicating effectively with team members, supervisors, and other departments.
• Providing regular updates on production status and performance.

• Required to stand for long periods

• Works overtime as required
