Job summary

Shaner Hotels' Courtyard by Marriott Miami Homestead is seeking a guest-focused Server to join our Food & Beverage team. You will take orders, serve beverages and meals, and ensure guest satisfaction in a fast-paced hotel restaurant.

Ideal candidates have at least one year of experience in a similar role, strong communication skills, and a basic understanding of food safety and alcohol service. Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus, with the ability to thrive in a collaborative, guest-centric

Qualifications

• Minimum one year of experience in a similar position dealing with the public.
• Minimum state age requirement to serve alcoholic beverages.
• Ability to satisfactorily communicate with guests, management, and co-workers to their understanding.
• High school graduate or equivalent, some college preferred.
• ServSafe and/or food safety training.
• Alcohol awareness training (such as TIPS).
• Bilingual English/Spanish a plus.
• Knowledge of local activities and attractions appropriate for clientele.

Responsibilities

• Take food and beverage orders and serve to guest tables.
• Retrieve and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages and food.
• Process payments.
• Assist in maintaining restaurant area and equipment.
