Pendry Chicago seeks an In-Room Dining Supervisor to lead the in-room dining team, ensure top-tier guest experiences, and manage daily operations in a luxury hotel setting.

You will train staff, oversee scheduling, handle guest requests, and maintain strict service standards while contributing to a supportive, upscale workplace culture.

Qualifications

• Strong guest service focus and ability to create memorable moments.
• Experience supervising food & beverage staff in hotel or resort settings.
• Proficient in standard computer and POS systems.
• Reliable team player with integrity and professionalism.

Responsibilities

• Train new staff and provide ongoing development opportunities.
• Monitor inventory levels and order supplies to minimize waste.
• Handle inquiries, complaints and special requests professionally.
• Assist management with scheduling and labor controls.
• Ensure in-room dining orders are prepared and delivered promptly per guest specs.
• Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms/hallways to collect in-room dining trays and dishes.
• Inspect daily set-up, presentations and delivery amenities.
• Maintain high standards of service and attention to detail.
• Deliver on guests’ expectations and create WOW moments.
• Maintain a clean working environment.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by business needs.

Your Journey

• Train new staff and provide ongoing training and development opportunities for existing staff to enhance their skills and knowledge.

• Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed to ensure sufficient stock levels while minimizing waste.

• Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and special requests in a professional and timely manner, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.

• Assist management with scheduling, labor controls, and other administrative duties.

• Ensure that all in-room dining orders are prepared and delivered promptly and according to guest specifications.

• Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms hallways to ensure that in-room dining trays and dishes are collected promptly.

• Inspect daily set-up, presentations and delivery amenities.

• Maintain high standards of service and attention to detail.

• Deliver on guests’ expectations and have the desire to create WOW moments.

• Maintain a clean working environment.

• Perform additional duties as assigned that may be outside of the normal scope of duties based on business needs.

Must Haves

• Computer skills.

• Luxury hotel experience, a plus.

Physical Requirements

• Grasping, holding, sitting, walking, repetitive motions, bending over.

• Ability to stand and exercise mobility for extended periods of time during your scheduled shift.

• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds regularly and for extended periods during the shift.

• Ability to push and pull carts and equipment weighing up to 200 pounds on a semi-regular basis.

The pay range for In-Room Dining Supervisor is $26.00 - 27.00 hourly. The pay scale is the base hourly range, exclusive of incentive pay such as commissions, piece rates, gratuities, and the like, that Pendry reasonably expects to pay for the position.
