Job summary

Lindbergh Schools in St. Louis, MO seeks an AM Float Custodian to maintain clean and safe school facilities. The position is full-time, 40 hours weekly, with a schedule of Monday–Friday, 5:30am–2:00pm.

The hourly rate starts at $17.34 and is subject to experience, with full benefits including medical, dental, vision, holidays, vacation, sick leave, and retirement. Applicants will perform general cleaning, disinfection, snow removal, and event setup, among other duties.

Responsibilities

• Cleans/Disinfects and preserves designated spaces in district buildings.
• General cleaning, trash removal, sweep/vacuum, window cleaning, restrooms, breakrooms, snow removal, buffing & waxing of floors, and other duties as assigned.
• Restocks disposable items and provides lead custodian with inventory usage and data.
• Operation & care of mechanical equipment such as ride-on scrubbers, wet vacs, and other cleaning equipment.
• Set up and take down of event needs per requirement.

Summary: Keeps the district's school buildings in such a state of operating excellence that they present no problems or interruptions to the educational program.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Other duties may be assigned.

• Cleans/Disinfects and preserves designated spaces in district buildings.
• Regular custodial duties:
  • General cleaning, trash removal, sweep/vacuum, window cleaning, restrooms, breakrooms, snow removal, buffing & waxing of floors, and other duties as assigned
  • Restocks disposable items and provides lead custodian with inventory usage and data.
  • Operation & care of mechanical equipment such as: ride on scrubbers, side/side scrubbers, wet vacs, and othercleaning equipment.
  • Set up and take down of specific event needs such as: tarps, chairs, tables and other specified needs per event.
• Travel Requirements
  • Arrive on time and work at various buildings within the district for staff shortages, special events, or operational needs.
• Assists with minor repairs and maintenance tasks as needed.
• Monitor and maintain security of school premises.
• Removal of snow, ice from exterior entrances and doorways
• Ability to work and communicate with a diverse workforce.
• Ability to adhere to safety practices, proper use of chemicals, personal protective equipment, etc.
• Overtime as needed
• Other duties as assigned
