Job summary

Verde Clean is seeking a Custodian to maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming space across our facilities. The role involves cleaning, restocking, floor care, and assisting staff and visitors.

Schedule is Monday to Friday, 6am - 2:30pm, with pay at $17 per hour. We value safety, sustainability, and community involvement in our team culture.

Qualifications

• One year of janitorial or cleaning experience preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent required or preferred.
• Ability to use cleaning equipment and follow safety protocols.

Responsibilities

• Clean and disinfect restrooms, desks, tables, counters, and surfaces.
• Restock restroom supplies and monitor dispensers across the facility.
• Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors for ongoing cleanliness.
• Identify safety hazards and report them to the supervisor.
• Provide courteous, helpful assistance to staff, visitors, and teammates.

What You’ll Do

As a Custodian, you will help maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming space for everyone. Key responsibilities include:

• Cleaning & Maintenance: Sweep, mop, vacuum floors, and wipe down surfaces, including desks, tables, and counters. You’ll also clean and disinfect restrooms, including toilets, sinks, mirrors, and floors.
• Restocking Supplies: Keep restrooms stocked with essentials like toilet paper, soap, and paper towels. Ensure dispensers are filled and monitor supplies across the facility.
• Floor Care: Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors.
• Safety & Security: Identify safety hazards and report them to the supervisor. Maintain a secure and safe environment for building occupants.
• Customer Service: Provide courteous, helpful assistance to staff, visitors, and fellow team members, creating a positive and welcoming environment.

What We’re Looking For

We’re seeking someone who is dependable, detail‑oriented, and a team player. To succeed in this role, you should have:

• Experience: At least one year of janitorial or cleaning experience preferred.
• Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
• Skills: Ability to use cleaning equipment and knowledge of safety protocols. Must be able to work independently and interact courteously with others.
• Physical Requirements: Ability to walk, stand, and lift up to 25 lbs. Must be comfortable using basic cleaning tools and equipment.
