Job summary

Washington University in St. Louis seeks a research coordinator to support multi-disciplinary studies on Alzheimer’s, including SUNBIRD and biomarker validation.

You will coordinate study procedures, collect data, and interact with participants, families, and caregivers in a clinical research setting. Responsibilities include coordinating assessments, scheduling visits, and ensuring protocol adherence while on a rotating brain donation call schedule.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or combination of education and/or experience may substitute for minimum education.
• Basic Life Support certification (American Heart Association) is required.
• No specific work experience is required for this position.

Responsibilities

• Implements and manages all phases of study/protocol; ensures compliance with protocol guidelines and regulatory requirements.
• Notifies physicians of issues and decides on participant inclusion or protocol adjustments.
• Recruits and enrolls study participants based on diagnostic criteria and interviews.
• Develops informed consent packets and explains study purpose to participants.
• Assists with neurological procedures and may perform blood draws with phlebotomy training.
• Provides education to participants, families, and caregivers about the studies and dementia care.
