Job summary

Kewaunee Fabrications, part of Oshkosh Corporation, is hiring motivated welders skilled in MIG and TIG welding with steel and aluminum experience. You will join a stable, well‑supported team that values quality and craftsmanship.

Starting pay is $26.75 per hour with premiums for aluminum/robotic welding and for second/third shifts, plus a comprehensive benefits package after 30 days. Shift details include Sunday-Thursday 11 PM to 7 AM and voluntary overtime.

Qualifications

  • Previous metal fabrication and welding experience
  • Basic blueprint reading and mechanical skills
  • Experience with at least one welding process and ability to obtain AWS D1.1 certification
  • Able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds regularly

Responsibilities

  • Weld steel and/or aluminum parts per blueprints using MIG, TIG, FCAW, or SMAW processes
  • Use fixtures to position components and control distortion
  • Perform grinding, cleaning, and deburring as needed
  • Complete required job paperwork and labor documentation
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area
  • Perform self-inspections and adhere to quality standards
  • Support preventative maintenance and assist coworkers as needed

Shift Overview
  • 3rd Shift: Sunday - Thursday, 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM
  • Includes a paid lunch
  • Always-available, completely voluntary overtime before or after your shift
Key Responsibilities Your Impact
  • Weld steel and/or aluminum parts per blueprints using MIG, TIG, FCAW, or SMAW processes

Required Qualifications
  • Previous metal fabrication and/or welding experience
  • Basic blueprint reading and mechanical skills
  • Experience with at least one welding process and ability to obtain AWS D1.1 certification
  • Able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds regularly (lifting devices available)
  • Willingness to perform cleaning, grinding, and weld prep work
Standout (Preferred) Qualifications
  • High school diploma, technical training, or equivalent education
  • One (1) year or more of welding or metal fabrication experience
  • Prior experience in a manufacturing or fabrication environment
