Job summary

Kewaunee Fabrications is seeking motivated welders to join a stable, well-supported team. You will weld steel and aluminum per blueprints, using MIG, TIG, FCAW, or SMAW, while maintaining quality and safety. The role offers a structured pay progression and a full benefits package.

Starting pay is on a 1st shift basis with premium opportunities for aluminum, robotic welding, and 2nd/3rd shifts, plus a comprehensive benefits package after 30 days.

Qualifications

• Previous metal fabrication and/or welding experience.
• Basic blueprint reading and mechanical skills.
• Experience with at least one welding process and ability to obtain AWS D1.1 certification.
• Able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds regularly (lifting devices available)
• Willingness to perform cleaning, grinding, and weld prep work.

Responsibilities

• Weld steel and/or aluminum parts per blueprints using MIG, TIG, FCAW, or SMAW processes.
• Use fixtures to position components and control distortion.
• Perform grinding, cleaning, and deburring as needed.
• Complete required job paperwork and labor documentation.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area.
• Perform self-inspections and adhere to quality standards.
• Support preventative maintenance and assist coworkers as needed.

• Starting Pay: $26.75/hour
• Skill Premium: +$0.50/hour for aluminum and robotic welding
• Shift Premium: +$1.00/hour for 2nd and 3rd shifts

Shift Overview

1st Shift: Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM

• Includes a paid lunch
• Always-available, completely voluntary overtime before or after your shift

Key Responsibilities Your Impact
