Job summary

The Friedman School of Nutrition Science and Policy seeks an Alumni Engagement Coordinator to support the Tufts Alumni Council and affinity groups. You will coordinate meetings, manage communications, and oversee annual events.

This role requires 3-5 years of related experience, a bachelor’s degree, and strong writing and interpersonal skills; familiarity with volunteer governance and database systems is ideal.

Qualifications

• Knowledge and skills typically acquired through a bachelor’s degree.
• 3-5 years of related experience.
• Knowledge and experience collaborating with volunteer committees.
• Knowledge and experience in alumni engagement or related field.
• Strong interpersonal skills and relationship building skills.
• Excellent writing and communication skills.
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office/similar systems, database systems (Advance, Raiser’s Edge, Ascend, etc.), Zoom, Qualtrics.
• Available for evening and weekend work as required.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive support for the Tufts Alumni Council (TAC) and its committees; train chairs to schedule Zoom meetings and share minutes; maintain TAC records; support multiple committees.
• Organize and implement annual Alumni Association elections of Trustees and Council members; assist Nominating Committee with candidate information and images.
• Oversee Alumni Association's two high-profile annual recognition events; coordinate event design and execution, including virtual or in-person formats.
• Develop and deliver a university-wide volunteer e-newsletter; coordinate volunteer information, outreach, and materials; maintain volunteer leadership data.
• Organize and implement programming for Senior Connection and alumni affinity groups; collaborate on annual Jumbo Alumni Service Month; support other special projects as needed.
