Job description

Alumni Affairs Manager

IDEA Public Schools is seeking an Alumni Affairs Manager to join the National Alumni Affairs Team. The role involves supporting college goals by coaching and developing undergraduate students, managing alumni cohorts, and implementing engagement strategies.

Location: This is a full-time remote position based in Texas, with preference for candidates in Austin, Rio Grande Valley, San Antonio, or those willing to relocate.

Travel Expectations: Up to 25% annually, including travel for team meetings, college campus engagement, and student programming.

Responsibilities
  1. Coach and develop approximately 700 alumni and 300 students to ensure persistence and graduation.
  2. Develop and execute strategic campaigns around FAFSA, class registration, scholarships, and campus resources.
  3. Design campaigns for appeals, financial aid, and re-enrollment.
  4. Analyze data to improve college readiness and student outreach.
  5. Lead workshops to support student persistence and college transition.
  6. Distribute behavioral nudges based on student lifecycle data.
  7. Maintain data trackers for over 2000 alumni.
  8. Create communication plans based on data analysis to support re-enrollment.
  9. Build relationships with university stakeholders.
  10. Design alumni engagement plans, including touchpoints and field visits.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • 3-5 years of professional experience, preferably in higher education, consulting, or non-profit.
  • Experience with Salesforce, Emma, Microsoft Suite, Signalvine SMS.
  • Student success coaching certification preferred.
Physical Requirements
  • Sitting for prolonged periods, lifting up to 20 pounds, travel, event setup, and effective communication.
What We Offer

Salary range: $68,800 - $79,900, commensurate with experience. Benefits include health plans, disability, life insurance, flexible spending, vacation, bonuses, professional development, and a 403(b) plan. More info at IDEA Benefits.
