Job Purpose

The purpose of the Welder is to accurately set up and operate welding equipment to weld and assemble trailers, hoists, and fabricated parts (may include a working Robotic Welder) to production card specifications. This person will assist with continuous improvement and lean initiatives by following process flow, and remaining flexible to complete tasks as part of a team. The welder is expected to offer suggestions and improvements by actively communicating with their department supervisor and plant management.

Responsibilities

• Prompt and reliable attendance to meet customer needs
• Perform basic math to measure, assemble, and troubleshoot
• Adjust welding equipment, read instructions, blueprints, and measuring devices
• Work collaboratively with co-workers and other departments
• Learn and rotate between multiple machines/jigs as needed
• Maintain production efficiency and quality standards, including overtime as required
• Follow safety procedures, wear PPE, and report hazards

Minimum Qualifications

• At least 2 years of continuous welding experience, preferably with aluminum or steel
• Ability to use measuring tools and read prints/manuals
• Good time management skills
• English communication skills

Physical and Schedule Requirements

• Lift, carry, pull, and push 50lbs regularly
• Stand, stoop, kneel, and crouch for extended periods
• Work outdoors and in varying weather conditions
• Availability to work between 6:00 AM and 4:30 PM, including occasional Saturdays
