Job summary

Zing Recruiting, in partnership with a leading manufacturing company, seeks a Welder to ensure safety, quality, and efficiency of the welding process. Located in Oakland, NJ, the Welder will operate welding equipment to weld structural metal components in a timely and accurate manner.

The ideal candidate has at least 2 years of TIG, MIG, and spot welding experience, with strong attention to detail and ability to read blueprints.

Qualifications

Minimum High School diploma or equivalent.
Associate's or Technical degree preferred.
Strong ability to multitask with attention to individual details.
Minimum 2 years of experience in TIG, MIG, and spot welding.
Job task planning and organizing skills.
Working knowledge of hand and power tools.
Strong organizational skills and adaptability to constant changes in production.
Ability to read and understand English.
Good interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

Read and interpret blueprints or welding process specifications.
Operate manual or semi-automatic welding equipment to fuse metal segments using processes such as gas metal arc.
Operate cutting torches, grinders, and drills.
Examine welds to ensure they meet standards and/or specifications.
Other responsibilities as assigned by management.
