ALCOM LLC manufactures aluminum trailers and is seeking a skilled welder to join our AMAW team in Sioux Falls. You will read blueprints, set up fixtures, and weld aluminum components, ensuring quality and safety standards.

Experience with aluminum welding and ability to read a tape measure, follow job orders, and maintain a clean, organized workspace are required. We value teamwork and continuous improvement to deliver high‑quality trailers to dealers and customers.

Qualifications

• Aluminum welding experience is required and an aluminum weld test must be passed.
• Able to read blueprints and interpret specifications.
• Able to read a tape measure and follow a job order.
• Good verbal and written communication skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Reads job orders and blueprint specifications.
• Checks blueprint and job order before starting operations; refers to blueprint throughout the day.
• Conserves resources by using equipment and supplies efficiently.
• Flips the trailer to weld the other side with assistance as needed.
• Verifies specifications by inspecting completed components.
• Ensures safety of equipment and notifies leadership for repairs.
• Contributes to team by achieving related results as needed.
• Recognizes obvious defects and ensures quality from blueprint to finished product.
• Suggests changes to methods and procedures to improve quality or efficiency.
• Maintains clean and organized work area and follows safety and housekeeping standards.
• Performs other duties as assigned and supports Continuous Improvement initiatives.
