Job summary

Atlas Sign Industries in Concord, NC is seeking an experienced Aluminum Welder / Sign Fabricator to join our in-house fabrication team. You will build aluminum sign structures including cabinets, frames, and raceways.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of aluminum welding and fabrication experience.
• Hands-on MIG aluminum welding and fabrication expertise.
• TIG welding experience preferred but not required.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and measurements.

Responsibilities

• Perform MIG aluminum welding for sign cabinets, frames, raceways, and other signage components.
• Fabricate and assemble aluminum components for custom signage and channel letters.
• Read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, measurements, and work orders.
• Cut, bend, drill, and shape aluminum using fabrication equipment.
• Grind and finish welds to meet cosmetic and structural standards.
• Ensure accuracy, quality, and consistency in finished products.
• Work with the production team to meet deadlines and project specifications.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.

Atlas Sign Industries is seeking an experienced Aluminum Welder / Sign Fabricator to join our sign manufacturing team in Concord, North Carolina.

This position focuses on building high-quality aluminum sign structures, including sign cabinets, frames, raceways, channel letters, and custom signage components.

The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with MIG aluminum welding and fabrication and is comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform MIG aluminum welding for sign cabinets, frames, raceways, and other signage components
• Fabricate and assemble aluminum components for custom signage and channel letters
• Read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, measurements, and work orders
• Cut, bend, drill, and shape aluminum using fabrication equipment
• Grind and finish welds to meet cosmetic and structural standards
• Ensure accuracy, quality, and consistency in finished products
• Work with the production team to meet deadlines and project specifications
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment

Qualifications

• 3 + years of aluminum welding and fabrication experience

• Aluminum welding experience required
• Ability to read and understand technical drawings and measurements
• Experience using fabrication tools and equipment, including press brakes, shears, and saws
• Strong attention to detail and craftsmanship
• Reliable, team-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced shop environment

Sign Industry Experience

Previous sign manufacturing or architectural metal fabrication experience is strongly preferred.

Experience working with sign cabinets, channel letters, raceways, and LED sign components is a plus.

This is an in-house position at our Concord, NC manufacturing facility. The role involves working in an indoor fabrication shop, standing for extended periods, operating machinery, and lifting approximately 20–50 lbs.
