Job summary

The Copper River Family of Companies is seeking a Fabricator to perform fabrication and welding to manufacture aluminum vessels and components. You will interpret blueprints and build sub-assemblies, then weld assemblies to specification using GMAW and GTAW.

Responsibilities include preparing weldments, operating fabrication equipment, and maintaining a safe work area. High school diploma or GED and the ability to pass on-site welding tests are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver’s license is required.
• Aluminum welding and fabrication experience is required.
• Must pass welding and fabrication testing on site.

Responsibilities

• Operate welding equipment using GMAW and GTAW to weld aluminum and steel in all positions.
• Prepare weldments with saws, routers, grinders, and hand tools.
• Read blueprints and weld symbols to lay out material patterns.
• Weld sub-assemblies and full assemblies using jigs and fixtures.
• Secure parts for assembly and welding.
• Operate overhead cranes and other fabrication equipment.
• Maintain a neat, safe fabrication area.
