Job summary

Doherty Staffing Solutions in Faribault, MN is seeking a Welder for a power distribution equipment manufacturer. This 2nd shift role involves TIG welding aluminum components, reading blueprints, and ensuring quality in a team environment.

The position is temp-to-hire with weekly pay and benefits options. Requires 2+ years in manufacturing, ability to lift up to 50 lbs, and successful pre-employment screening.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and welding symbols.
• Knowledge of aluminum grades and welding requirements.
• Ability to weld in flat, vertical, and overhead positions.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform frequent standing, bending, reaching, and lifting.
• High school diploma required; technical or vocational training preferred.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment physical and drug screen.
• Ability to wear required PPE, including eye, hand, foot, and hearing protection.

Responsibilities

• Perform TIG welding on aluminum components according to specifications and quality standards
• Clean, prepare, and inspect materials prior to welding
• Set up and adjust welding equipment, including amperage, gas flow, and torch selection
• Read and interpret blueprints, welding symbols, job orders, and SOPs
• Inspect finished welds to identify and correct defects or inconsistencies
• Enter production data and documentation into Epicor
• Perform routine maintenance on welding equipment and support continuous improvement efforts
