Job summary

A growing aerospace company in Tulsa is seeking experienced Aluminum/Inconel TIG Welders. Applicants should have strong precision skills and a solid understanding of aerospace welding standards. The role includes setting up fixtures, operating welding machines, and conducting pressure tests.

Qualifications

  • Candidates must pass a TIG plate test on aluminum.
  • Strongly preferred candidates will have experience with heat exchangers, condensers, and oil cooler/heaters.

Responsibilities

  • Set up and fit to weld fixtures in multiple positions.
  • Operate TIG torch and welding machines for AC and/or DC welding.
  • Fit aluminum and/or Inconel components to a weld gap of no more than 0.025 inches.
  • Read drawings, take measurements, and plan layouts.
  • Use angle grinders to prepare parts for welding.
  • Align components using tools and secure with clamps.
  • Perform TIG welding in various positions.
  • Conduct pressure tests and inspect welded surfaces.

Pay: $22+/hr BOE | Hours: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM | Job Type: Welding | Location: Tulsa, OK

Job Description:
A growing aerospace company in Tulsa is seeking experienced Aluminum/Inconel TIG Welders to join their team. Candidates with previous experience working on heat exchangers, condensers, reheaters, and oil cooler/heaters are strongly preferred.

Responsibilities:

  • Set up and fit to weld fixtures in multiple positions.
  • Prepare and operate TIG torch and welding machines for AC and/or DC welding.
  • Fit aluminum and/or Inconel components to a weld gap of no more than 0.025 inches.
  • Read drawings, take measurements, and plan layouts and procedures accordingly.
  • Use angle grinders to prepare parts for welding.
  • Align components using tools such as calipers and rulers, and secure them with clamps.
  • Perform TIG welding of components in various positions, including vertical, horizontal, and overhead.
  • Conduct pressure tests and inspect welded surfaces to identify and correct flaws.
  • Maintain equipment to ensure safety and operational efficiency.

    Qualifications:
    The ideal candidate will demonstrate precision, attention to detail, and a strong understanding of aerospace-grade welding requirements.
