Job description

ABH Manufacturing is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Aluminum Fabrication Associate 1 to support the production of our Aluminum Geared Hinge product line. This hands-on role is responsible for operating aluminum fabrication CNC machines and ensuring all fabricated parts meet quality and customer specifications. The ideal candidate is safety-focused, mechanically inclined, and committed to continuous improvement in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Main Responsibilities
Machine Operations
  • Operate the saw, punch press and CNC machines efficiently
  • Monitor machine performance and make adjustments to ensure quality and productivity standards are met.
  • Perform routine machine maintenance and communicate equipment issues to leadership as needed.
Fabrication & Quality
  • Verify finished parts meet dimensional tolerances and quality standards using precision measuring equipment, including calipers and other inspection tools.
  • Inspect materials and completed products for defects and ensure compliance with customer specifications.
  • Maintain accurate production documentation and report production or quality concerns promptly.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and enhance product quality.
Production & Cross-Functional Support
  • Assist with material handling and other production activities as business needs require.
  • Collaborate with anodizing, assembly and operations teams to meet production schedules and customer deadlines.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment while following all company safety policies and OSHA regulations.
Qualifications & Skills
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, and manufacturing specifications.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Basic computer skills for machine programming, production reporting, and work order management.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team environment.
Experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certification or trade school training in manufacturing, machining, or a related field is preferred.
  • Experience with operating CNC machines is preferred.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand, bend, reach, and perform repetitive tasks throughout the workday.
  • Frequently lift, move, and position materials weighing up to 40 pounds.
  • Ability to safely operate laser cutting equipment and other manufacturing machinery.
  • Must be able to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE), including safety glasses, hearing protection, gloves, and steel-toe footwear.
Schedule

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 6:00 a.m. – 2:30 p.m., with overtime as required.
