Opti Staffing is seeking an experienced aluminium welder/fabricator for a full‑time position in Vancouver, WA. The candidate will weld aluminium structures and read shop drawings, with proficiency in GTAW/TIG and MIG/GMAW processes. The role requires safety awareness and the ability to operate power tools, with a pre-employment weld and math test.

Willingness to work a day shift (M-F 6:00AM - 2:30PM) and pass a background check/drug screen is required. Pay ranges from $23 to $29 per hour DOE.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

Job description

Opti Is Hiring An Aluminium Welder! Position: Aluminum MIG/TIG Combo Welder Shift: M-F 6:00AM - 2:30PM Pay: $23-29/ hour (DOE and weld test)

Seeking an experienced aluminium welder/fabricator to join our team. Welding will be primarily on aluminium structures, welding steel is a plus. The right candidate will be able to set up, weld, and read shop drawings independently. Working in a team environment is mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Create quality welds according to shop drawings
• Perform GTAW, TIG, MIG, GMAW, FCAW, SMAW as needed
• Select proper fillers for jobs based on previous experience or project instructions
• Inspect welds for accuracy
• Prepare product to be welded by grinding, drilling, milling, tapping, and cutting aluminium/steel parts
• Change weld wire and shielding gas as needed
• Ensure all equipment is properly set-up and used in a safe manner and that all safety devices are in use
• Monitor equipment and request maintenance when required; ability to make simple repairs if necessary
• De-bur and grind metal as necessary to achieve proper surface texture
• Understand and implement personal and company safety measures by wearing required PPE
• Position requires the ability to operate precision measuring devices such as calipers, micrometers, protractors, and tape measures

Requirements

• Must pass a weld and math test
• Skilled in both mechanical and manual welding practices
• Strong ability to read and interpret shop drawings
• Extensive knowledge of various cutting techniques, including oxy-fuel and plasma
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Must be able to bend, lift, and push up to 80 pounds
• Satisfactory completion of a background check and drug screen
• Experience: 2+ years welding aluminium
• Experience working with power tools
• Knowledge of construction site best practices and safety procedures
