Job summary

Mission Staffing has partnered with a leading global asset manager in NYC to recruit for a Manager, Alternative Operations. The role focuses on private credit operations, loan-based products, and bespoke structures across restructurings and distressed debt.

The candidate will act as the primary point of contact for end-to-end processes and oversee external service providers involved in settlements and cash movements.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of relevant operational experience across private and direct originated debt and/or equity.
• Strong knowledge of loan-based products including term loans, revolvers, delayed draws, loan setup, amendments, restructurings, and settlement processes.
• Hands-on experience reviewing and interpreting credit agreements, understanding key terms for servicing, accrual mechanics, and communicating with service providers.
• Exposure to SMAs, private equity and hedge fund structures, distressed debt, and corporate loan operations.
• Experience working with transfer agents and familiarity with Total Return Swaps (TRS) a plus.
• Will serve as the firm's primary point of contact for end-to-end restructure processing.
• Will provide day-to-day operational coverage for Private Distressed Credit portfolio managers including deal settlement, funding coordination, wire instruction updates, and cash movements.
• Will serve as an escalation point and provide oversight for outsourced service providers across settlements, asset setup, waterfall calculations, and cash and position reconciliation.
• Will support complex loan amendments, restructurings, share conversions, and other non-standard lifecycle events.

Responsibilities

• Oversee end-to-end restructuring processing for the Private Distressed Credit portfolio.
• Coordinate settlements, wire instructions, and cash movements with internal teams and service providers.
• Monitor and guide outsourced providers for settlements, asset setup, and reconciliations.
• Lead complex loan amendments, restructurings, and non-standard lifecycle events.
