iCapital is hiring an Alternative Investment Specialist for the distribution partnership with one of its largest wealth management clients. This individual will report to the regional team lead for North America and Latin America. This role will be responsible for working with our client’s advisors, bankers, investment counselors, specialists and in partnership with third-party managers to grow alternative investment adoption. This role requires an experienced investment professional with alternative investment knowledge, exceptional relationship management, communication and influencing skills and strong sales experience. Responsibilities include generating alternative investment product sales, promoting adoption of offerings across the client’s wealth platform, meeting with clients and prospects and attending conferences and events regularly, working with the client’s Alternative Investments team on new fund launches, partnering with asset management partners to raise capital, and mandatory CRM usage and maintenance. Qualifications include 10+ years of experience in alternative investment industry in a client facing capacity, ability to work in a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment, ability to sell and support a diverse platform of hedge fund, private equity, private credit, and real asset offerings, Series 7 and 63 licenses required, CFA and CAIA charter holders preferred, and must obtain CAIA within 3 years of hire. Benefits include a base salary range of $150,000 to $250,000, equity, annual performance bonus, comprehensive benefits package including employer matched retirement plan, subsidized healthcare with 100% employer paid dental, vision, telemedicine, virtual mental health counseling, parental leave, and unlimited paid time off. The role is fully remote but candidates should be based in either the San Francisco or Los Angeles Metropolitan areas.
