The Role at a Glance

The Alternative Investment Sales Specialist Account Executive will develop, implement, and maintain a business plan to achieve sales and growth goals for alternative investments. They will collaborate with key stakeholders across sales, investment, product management, and marketing to distribute alternative investment solutions to retail and HNW advisors in the Eastern Sales Region. The individual will leverage their expertise to execute educational and sales initiatives to promote Lincoln’s alternatives solutions among wealth management advisors.

What You'll Be Doing
  1. Develop a deep understanding of Lincoln Financial’s Alternatives platform and represent individual solutions to wealth management firms, advisors, and clients in partnership with the Sales team.
  2. Provide subject matter expertise on Alternatives and collaborate on fund roadshows and field engagement activities to drive sales results.
  3. Partner with investment, product, and distribution teams to promote strategies for retail/HNW advisors.
  4. Support the development of marketing collateral and branding initiatives, including presentations, educational materials, and thought leadership content.
  5. Stay informed about industry trends, competitors, and investor preferences to support product positioning at events and conferences.
  6. Develop and maintain a complex sales plan to increase revenue and market share within alternative investments.
  7. Enhance penetration in the territory by strengthening relationships with existing field teams and clients.
  8. Build and maintain client relationships within assigned firms.
  9. Increase awareness and adoption of Lincoln’s alternative investment products among financial advisors.
  10. Collaborate with wholesale teams to develop and execute sales strategies for targeted advisors.
  11. Understand target firms/advisors to effectively position Lincoln’s offerings.
  12. Support growth of Lincoln's alternative investment offerings through cross-selling and new client acquisition.
  13. Conduct firm/advisor meetings to meet sales targets, including due diligence, one-on-one, and speaking engagements.
  14. Identify and communicate potential conflicts related to Lincoln’s investments.
  15. Adhere to Lincoln’s Culture of Compliance and policies.
What We’re Looking For
Must-Haves
  • 3-5+ years experience in alternatives distribution aligned with responsibilities.
  • FINRA Series 7 and 63 licenses.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • Strong problem-solving, critical thinking, and communication skills.
  • Ability to adapt quickly in a changing environment.
Preferred
  • MBA, CFA, or CAIA certifications.
  • FINRA Series 24 license.
