The Role at a Glance

The Alternative Investment Sales Specialist Account Executive will develop, implement, and maintain a business plan to achieve sales and growth goals for alternative investments. They will collaborate with stakeholders across sales, investment, product management, and marketing to distribute alternative investment solutions to retail and HNW advisors within the Western Sales Region. The individual will leverage their expertise to execute educational and sales initiatives, driving adoption of Lincoln’s alternative solutions among wealth management advisors.

What You'll Be Doing
  • Develop a deep understanding of Lincoln Financial’s Alternatives platform and effectively represent solutions to wealth management firms, advisors, and clients.
  • Provide subject matter expertise, organize fund roadshows, and execute field engagement routines to drive sales results.
  • Partner with investment, product, and distribution teams to promote strategies for retail/HNW advisors.
  • Support the creation of marketing collateral and branding initiatives, including presentations, educational materials, and thought leadership content.
  • Stay informed on industry trends, competitive landscape, and investor preferences to support product development and positioning.
  • Develop and maintain a complex sales plan to increase revenue and market share in alternative investments.
  • Enhance penetration in the territory by building relationships with existing field teams and targeted firms.
  • Manage client relationships within the territory’s firms and increase awareness and adoption of Lincoln’s products.
  • Work with the wholesale team to develop and execute sales plans to introduce Lincoln’s resources to targeted advisors.
  • Understand target firms and advisors, including market segments and value propositions.
  • Support growth by cross-selling and penetrating new and existing financial advisors.
  • Conduct firm and advisor meetings to meet sales targets, including due diligence and sponsorship opportunities.
  • Identify and communicate potential conflicts regarding Lincoln's investments.
  • Adhere to Lincoln’s culture of compliance and policies.
What We’re Looking For
Must-Haves
  • 3-5+ years experience in alternatives distribution related to this role.
  • FINRA Series 7 and 63 licenses.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, and adaptability skills.
Preferred
  • MBA, CFA, or CAIA certifications.
  • FINRA Series 24 license.

The pay range is $190,000 - $480,000, with actual pay based on experience, location, and qualifications. Compensation may include incentives and other rewards.
