Goddard Public Schools has an opening for an Alternative Education Support Para at Goddard Academy. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys variety, working with students, and being part of a team where each day may look a little different. The primary focus of the position is providing instructional and student support while also assisting in other areas of the school as needs arise.
Responsibilities may include providing individual and small-group academic support, assisting students with virtual coursework, supervising students in In‑School Suspension (ISS), supporting student supervision throughout the school day, and assisting with daily school operations. The position may also assist with library/media functions, school communications, technology, attendance and student records, school events, and other duties as assigned.
Qualified candidates should be flexible, dependable, comfortable working with students with a variety of academic and behavioral needs, and willing to step in wherever support is needed. A high school diploma or GED and the ability to meet Kansas State Board of Education requirements for paraprofessionals are required. Experience working with at‑risk students, virtual learning, student supervision, technology, or school communications is preferred.
