• Must hold a State Elementary Teaching License with appropriate endorsements.
• Experience or training in special education and behavior support is desirable.
• ESL/ELL endorsement is a plus for supporting diverse learners.
• CPR/First Aid certification is preferred by the program.
• Strong classroom management and documentation skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver standards-based, differentiated lessons for elementary students in an alternative education setting.
• Create a safe, structured classroom that supports at-risk and nontraditional learners.
• Use assessments and data to monitor progress and adjust instruction.
• Implement behavior support strategies and classroom management aligned with program expectations.

• Contribute to IEP and intervention planning and implement accommodations as required.
• Maintain accurate attendance, grading, and documentation of student performance.
• Participate in professional development focused on special education, behavior support, and student advocacy.
