Ombudsman Educational Services is seeking an Elementary School Teacher to support at-risk and nontraditional learners in a small, structured alternative education setting. Plan and deliver standards-based instruction and use data to close gaps.

You will foster a safe, supportive classroom, implement behavior strategies, and collaborate with districts, staff, and families. This role offers growth in special education, behavior support, and student advocacy.

Qualifications

• State Elementary Teaching License required.
• Special Education endorsement preferred.
• ESL/ELL endorsement a plus.
• CPR/First Aid certification preferred.
• Classroom management training may be beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver standards-based, differentiated lessons for elementary students in an alternative education setting.
• Create a safe, structured, student-centered classroom that supports at-risk and nontraditional learners.
• Use assessments and student data to monitor progress and adjust instruction.
• Implement behavior support strategies and classroom management aligned with program expectations.
• Collaborate with school districts, support staff, and families to coordinate student supports.
• Contribute to IEP and intervention planning and implement accommodations as required.
• Maintain accurate attendance, grading, and documentation of student performance.
• Participate in professional development focused on special education, behavior support, and student advocacy.
