Job summary

Ombudsman Educational Services seeks an Elementary School Teacher to support at-risk and nontraditional learners in a small, structured alternative education setting. You will design and deliver standards-based, personalized instruction, adapt lessons for diverse learning needs, and use data to monitor progress.

Collaborate with school districts and families, implement IEP goals, manage behavior, and integrate technology.

Qualifications

• State teaching license in Elementary Education.
• Special Education certification preferred.
• ESL/ELL endorsement a plus.
• Training in behavior management or PBIS preferred.
• CPR/First Aid certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design and deliver standards-based, engaging lessons for elementary students in an alternative education setting.
• Differentiate instruction to meet diverse academic, behavioral, and social-emotional needs of at-risk learners.
• Implement behavior management strategies to maintain a safe, structured, and supportive classroom environment.
• Monitor and document student progress using assessments and data to adjust instruction and interventions.
• Collaborate with school district partners, support staff, and families to align goals and share student progress.
• Support implementation of IEPs, 504 plans, and accommodations for students with special needs.
• Integrate technology and varied instructional materials to support individualized and small-group learning.
• Contribute to a positive, mission-driven school culture focused on student advocacy and success.
