Job summary

Von Maur is seeking an Alterations Associate in Atlanta, GA to provide exceptional customer service and perform alterations on women’s garments, from beaded formal dresses to tailored pieces.

You will measure, mark, pin, sew, press, and repair garments, while maintaining a clean work area and supporting the store’s commitment to quality and a positive shopping experience.

• Candidates must be professionally competent in basic and most advanced alterations.

• Own the customer experience – greet people sincerely, be friendly and thank every customer
• Measure, fit, mark, and pin garments according to customer specifications
• Disassemble, sew and/or reassemble garments according to measurements taken during fitting – use iron and steamer to prepare garments for customers
• Repair damaged or defective merchandise
• Garment work may range from basic to moderately difficult sewing/alteration procedures
• Maintain a clean department and work area
