Job summary

A renewable energy development firm is seeking an energetic Surveyor-in-Training (SIT) to assist in large-scale ALTA/NSPS Land Title Surveys for Wind and Solar projects across the United States. This role requires at least 5 years of surveying experience and proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D. Ideal candidates should have a deep understanding of ALTA standards, boundary analysis, and project coordination. The position may involve fieldwork and managing field crews, providing a dynamic work environment with opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in land surveying.
• Surveyor-in-Training (SIT) certification or ability to obtain within 1 year.
• Experience supporting utility-scale Wind and/or Solar projects.
• Field experience with GPS and Robotic Total Stations.
• Strong math, communication, and technical skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist RPLS in ALTA/NSPS Land Title Survey projects.
• Perform deed and title research, including easement analysis.
• Conduct boundary analysis and resolve title conflicts.
• Verify field crew layouts for ALTA compliance.
• Draft ALTA plats and survey deliverables using AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Support and manage field crews, providing guidance.
