Job summary

MedStar Health in Clinton, MD is seeking an ALS Paramedic to medically support transport patients between facilities. The role requires NREMT-P, Maryland/DC paramedic licenses, and 1+ year of experience.

Will work with EMTs and Critical Care nurses, providing direct patient care, documentation, and safety-focused care in a fast-paced environment. A generous benefits package, including PTO and tuition assistance, is offered. A limited-time sign-on bonus is available.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years experience as an NRP-paramedic preferred.
• High school diploma or GED required; EMT-Paramedic course completed.
• Emergency vehicle driving course completed before orientation release.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care and evaluate outcomes in transport.
• Document clinical information clearly in medical records.
• Maintain safe, therapeutic environment for patients and families.
• Administer and monitor pharmacologic agents and IV fluids during inter-hospital transports.
• Coordinate with medical control physicians for complex patient care during transport.
• Participate in orientation, safety programs, and quality improvement teams.
