Job summary

MedStar Health in Clinton, Maryland seeks an ALS Paramedic to medically support and care for transport patients to other facilities, working with EMTs and Critical Care nurses. Candidates must have NREMT-P and MD Paramedic License, with 1 year of experience.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Successful completion of an approved EMT-Paramedic course required.
• Completion of an approved emergency vehicle driving course prior to release from orientation required.
• 1-2 years experience as a National Registry Paramedic (NRP) preferred.
• NREMT-Paramedic required; Paramedic license in DC within 30 days; Paramedic license in MD within 30 days; CPR for healthcare providers within 90 days.
• Additional certifications may be required (ACLS, PALS, ATLS, TNCC/ATCN, NIHSS, FEMA IS-100/IS-200).

• Provide direct patient care during inter-hospital transports.
• Document patient information clearly and accurately.
• Collaborate with medical control physicians for complex cases.
• Participate in orientation and safety initiatives.
