Job summary

The City of Cedar Hill is actively seeking Single-Role Paramedics to join our EMS team in Cedar Hill, Texas. Anticipated hire date is October 5, 2026.

This is a non-firefighter EMS position focused on advanced life support, patient care, and rapid transport under Bio-Tel guidelines. Responsibilities include ALS procedures, patient assessment, documentation, vehicle operation, and coordination with medical control and facilities.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 19 years of age.
• High school diploma or GED, and completion of an accredited Paramedic education program.
• Current Texas DSHS Paramedic certification or license and current National Registry Paramedic certification are required at the time of appointment; both must be maintained throughout employment.
• Current National Registry Paramedic certification, maintained throughout employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide ALS emergency medical assessment, treatment, and transportation.
• Operate and maintain EMS vehicles, equipment, and medications; complete documentation.
• Communicate with medical control, dispatch, and hospital facilities; provide patient reports.
