Qualifications

  • Applicants must be 16 years of age.
  • Current membership with US Ski & Snowboard
  • Extensive experience and credibility within the competition level/segment
  • A proven track record of working in successful team(s)
  • Adherence to US Ski & Snowboard core values
  • Excellent interpersonal skills; ability to be a team player
  • Ability to work independently
  • Excellent communicator
  • Basic level of comfort utilizing "smart" devices, tablets, video camera, etc.
  • Ability to ski/snowboard in all types of terrain and varying, sometimes hazardous, snow and weather conditions
  • Ability to stand for long periods, up to 90% or more of a normal work shift
  • Ability to frequently or constantly balance, reach, squat, bend, kneel, stoop, handle and twist
  • Ability to occasionally carry, lift, push or pull up to 75 lbs.
  • Required US Ski & Snowboard Membership
  • Preferred: High School Diploma
  • Preferred: US Ski & Snowboard Level 100 or Higher
  • Preferred: PSIA or IFSA Certification
  • Preferred: Prior applicable coaching experience
  • A Motor Vehicle Record review may be required as part of the job

Responsibilities

  • Coach development and alpine race teams with athletes ages 7-20.
  • Implement curriculum developed by the Manager, Head Coach and/or Director.
  • Provide advanced-to-elite alpine racing skill development and athletic growth.
  • Transport and install equipment for training, including closures, signage, training poles/panels and drills.
  • Implement team training under the direction of the Team Manager.
  • Maintain curriculum, products and services quality.
  • Attend required trainings and meetings.
  • Follow safety, behavior, appearance, travel and time-and-attendance policies.
  • Contribute to teamwork and a positive work environment.
  • Meet, greet and interact with guests daily.
  • Seek feedback from customers, athletes and parents.
  • Communicate company goals and objectives.
  • Participate in performance development, goal setting and feedback.
  • Maintain current US Ski and Snowboard certification and license
  • Follow safety, travel and time-and-attendance policies
