About the Role

Are you looking for an opportunity to advance your culinary career? We have an excellent opportunity for a Cook/Line Cook to join our team! Our Cooks are an integral part of the Dining Services team, helping ensure our residents receive nutritious, high-quality meals. We look forward to learning more about you and how we can support your culinary success!

Responsibilities
  • Prepare assigned stations for shift.
  • Under the direction of lead cook/sous chef, prepare individual components of various entrees and food items, adhering to the individual dietary restrictions of residents.
  • Maintain kitchen food safety and sanitary food handling in compliance with State, Federal, and DSHS regulations.
  • Complete other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • At least 18 years of age.
  • Criminal Record clearance through the Department of Social Services.
  • Health screening and TB test results not older than 6 months.
  • Current First Aid Training and Certifications per Title 22.
  • Prior experience as a cook/lead cook (1-2 years preferred).
  • Ability to prepare high-quality food for residents, work on holidays and pre-planned events.
  • Maintain professional relationships with food and equipment vendors.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Able to prepare therapeutic/modified diets.
  • Successful completion of recognized food safety course.
Physical Requirements
  • The ability to push/pull/carry up to 30 lbs.
