Job summary

Vantage MedTech is seeking an ALM Systems Analyst to join the ALM division in Lyndhurst, NJ. You will lead Polarion administration, capture requirements, and collaborate with engineering and IT to optimize lifecycle processes.

You will design dashboards, manage configuration and change control, and support client engagements with technical demos and best practices in a fast-paced, hybrid startup environment.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline is required.
  • Experience with application lifecycle management tools, Polarion preferred.
  • Familiarity with Java, AWS cloud, Microsoft TFS, and Linux is a plus.
  • Experience with waterfall project management methodologies.
  • Good understanding of development and operational processes within a company.
  • Extensive experience with product development methodologies and engineering lifecycle activities.

Responsibilities

  • Act as main point of contact for clients, providing Polarion support.
  • Work with clients to understand and prioritize requirements.
  • Provide general administration support (configuration, workflows, reports, templates, access, permissions) to clients.
  • Provide user training, develop and document best practices, and identify/implement process improvements.
  • Update template/project configurations, workflows, and work item metadata.
  • Coordinate security and software updates with internal IT and Siemens.
  • Address backup, performance, and archiving of data with internal IT and Siemens.
  • Develop dashboards and Live Reports that support engineering and managing needs.
  • Work with internal engineering teams to define processes for approvals/signoff, configuration/change management, requirements, test, and project management.
  • Partner with Polarian sales staff to provide technical demos and act as SME for prospects.
  • Draft requirements and test cases to validate systems and complete reports.

About the ALM Division

The Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) division of Vantage MedTech focuses on modernizing how regulated and non-regulated organizations design, develop, validate, and maintain complex products. We help companies select, implement, and scale ALM, PLM, and QMS platforms to manage product design activities across requirements, risk, verification, validation, and traceability.

Our team delivers end-to-end lifecycle solutions, including:

  • Platform selection and architecture design
  • Secure cloud hosting (AWS and hybrid environments)
  • System implementation, configuration, and validation
  • User training, adoption, and change management
  • Ongoing managed services and operational support

This is a hybrid opportunity. This position is based in Lyndhurst, NJ. We do not offer relocation assistance.

Responsibilities:
  • Act as main point of contact for clients, providing Polarion support and facilitating interactions between customer IT department, Sterling Medical Devices, and Siemens
  • Work with clients to understand and prioritize requirements
  • Provide general administration support (configuration, workflows, reports, templates, access, permissions, etc.) to clients
  • Provide user training, develop and document best practices, and identify/implement process improvements
  • Update template/project configurations, workflows, and work item meta data
  • Coordinate security and software updates with internal IT and Siemens
  • Addressing backup, performance, and archiving of data with internal IT and Siemens
  • Developing dashboards and Live Reports that support engineering and managing needs
  • Work with internal engineering teams to define and implement processes that support the following activities for information stored within Polarion: approvals/signoff, configuration/change management, requirements management, test management, and project management
  • Partner with Polarian sales staff to provide technical demos act as subject matter expert for prospects
  • Draft requirements and test cases to validate systems and complete reports
Qualifications and Experience:

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline
  • Previous job experience with application lifecycle management tools, Polarion preferred
  • Familiarity with Java, AWS cloud, Microsoft TFS, and Linux is a plus
  • Experience with waterfall project management methodologies
  • Good understanding of development and operational and processes within a company
  • Extensive experience with product development methodologies and engineering lifecycle activities
Required Skills:
  • Ability to lead and promote change in an environment of rapidly changing technologies and business processes
  • Strong analytical, problem solving and conceptual skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills and excellent organizational skills
  • Must be proactive and able to work with little or no supervision
  • Basic knowledge of Quality Management Systems
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate to various levels of management, internal business partners, and external suppliers
  • Flexibility, willingness to learn, and a demonstrated ability to come up to speed quickly on new technologies and technical issues
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced startup environment

This position offers a salary range of $70,000 - $80,000 per year, based on experience and qualifications. In addition to the salary range, we offer a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) plan with employer match, and generous paid time off.
