Description

AllWorld Language Consultants, Inc. (ALC) is a consulting firm that provides a vast array of technical and professional services such as: translation, interpretation, transcription, Title III intercepts, multi-media production, training, and intelligence support. We have immediate openings for a Portuguese or Spanish Toponymist in St. Louis, MO.

The skill set includes:

*3-10 years of experience processing geographic names

*Reading expertise in one or more of the following languages: Portuguese, or Spanish (ILR 2 in reading)

*Top Secret SCI Security Clearance

*A minimum proficiency skill level 2 for Reading is required as defined by the Interagency Language Roundtable (ILR). Test scores are required to be within two years old. If you have previous language test results, please submit when replying to this email. DLPT scores are also acceptable.

Expertise in research and information gathering.

Knowledge of regularly used GEOINT Sources.

Experience with native maps, secondary source maps, historic maps used for extraction and comparison, mapping imagery for stereo and mono extraction at various resolutions.

Experience creating shapefiles, geo-databases, and features including data retrieval/storage.

Knowledge of standard NGA products is also necessary to accomplish these services.

Desirable skills/experience: specific experience processing geographic names following NGA policies and procedures.
