Job summary

Triton Environmental Consultants, Ltd. is seeking a Production Supervisor for Fermentation Operations to oversee daily fermentation production and supervise Fermentation Associates.

You will coordinate staffing, schedules, inventory, and process compliance to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality manufacturing performance. You will partner with Quality, Maintenance, Supply Chain, and Warehouse teams to meet goals, drive continuous improvement, and maintain a safe, productive work environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience preferred for supervisory roles.
• 3+ years in manufacturing, production, fermentation, or related operational experience.
• Previous supervisory or team leadership experience preferred.
• Experience in feed, grain, supplement, food, fermentation, or similar environments preferred.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work flexible schedules, including 12-hour shifts, weekends, and overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

• Supervise Fermentation Associates and direct daily activities.
• Coordinate staffing and production schedules to meet operational goals.
• Monitor production performance, fermentation processes, and quality standards.
• Provide training, coaching, and performance feedback to employees.
• Ensure safety procedures, GMPs, company policies, and regulatory requirements.
• Monitor inventories of raw materials and production resources.
• Investigate and resolve production, quality, inventory, equipment, and personnel issues.
• Collaborate with Maintenance, Quality, Supply Chain, and Warehouse teams to improve efficiency.
• Support preventive maintenance to minimize downtime.
• Maintain accurate production records and documentation.
• Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities.
• Ensure manufacturing areas are clean, organized, and sanitary.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Summary

Duties/Responsibilities

• Coordinate staffing and production schedules to meet operational requirements and production goals.
• Monitor production performance, fermentation processes, and quality standards.
• Print Batch Cards
• Provide training, coaching, and performance feedback to employees.
• Ensure compliance with safety procedures, GMPs, company policies, and regulatory requirements.
• Monitor inventory levels of raw materials, supplies, and production resources.
• Investigate and resolve production, quality, inventory, equipment, and personnel issues.
• Collaborate with Maintenance, Quality, Supply Chain, and Warehouse teams to improve operational efficiency.
• Support preventive maintenance activities to minimize downtime.
• Maintain accurate production records and documentation.
• Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities.
• Ensure manufacturing areas, equipment, and materials remain clean, organized, and sanitary.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support operational objectives.

Supervisory Responsibilities

• Directly supervises Fermentation Associates and assigned production personnel.
• Responsible for employee scheduling, training, development, and performance management.
• Conducts employee evaluations and provides coaching and corrective action when necessary.
• Assists with interviewing, hiring, and onboarding new employees.
• Promotes a positive team culture focused on safety, quality, accountability, and productivity.

Education and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Operations, Supply Chain, Business, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience may be considered.
• Minimum of three years of manufacturing, production, fermentation, inventory management, or related operational experience.
• Previous supervisory or team leadership experience preferred.
• Experience in feed, grain, supplement, food, fermentation, or similar manufacturing environments preferred.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work flexible schedules, including 12-hour shifts (day or night), weekends, and overtime as needed.

Physical Requirements

• Must be physically able to operate a motor vehicle and forklift.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.
• Ability to stand, walk, climb stairs, and bend for extended periods.
• Ability to wear a respirator in designated areas.
• Must pass post-offer physical and drug screen.
• Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with varying temperatures and noise levels.
• Ability to respond to production issues throughout the facility as needed.
