Job summary

Confidential in Pittsburgh seeks an experienced candidate to support aluminum processing and alloy R&D from laboratory to pilot scale. The role emphasizes heat treatment and thermal analysis within a metal casting environment.

Ideal candidates have an Associate degree in Metallurgy or Materials Science and experience with molten aluminum, foundry operations, metallography, and crane or forklift tasks. This position is on-site in Pittsburgh and offers hands-on growth in a dynamic lab-to-pilot

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Metallurgy, Materials Science, Chemistry, Mechanical/Manufacturing Technology, or equivalent industrial experience preferred.
• Experience with molten aluminum, foundry operations, metallography, cranes, or forklifts is a plus!
• Willingness to work in a lab-to-pilot scale environment and follow safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Perform heat treatment & thermal analysis.
• Support alloy R&D from laboratory to pilot scale.
• Assist with sampling, testing, and data recording in a foundry/mfg setting.
