The Janitor position is responsible for performing all-purpose cleaning and preservation of assigned areas inside a particular building or multiple client sites. Tasks may vary depending on client specifications, so flexibility is required.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Empty and clean all waste containers; remove waste paper and garbage from the premises to designated areas; damp wipe containers.
• Empty and clean all ash trays; monitor sand urn supplies and restore sand as needed.
• Dust all image frames, charts, graphs, and wall hangings.
• Damp dust ceiling and air conditioning diffusers, partition grilles, registers, and other ventilating louvers.
• Vacuum all mats and carpeted areas in workplaces, lobbies, and corridors.
• Hand dust and clean all office furnishings, files, fixtures, paneling, window sills, and other flat surfaces.
• Clean and buff all metal fixtures and hardware.
• Clean and maintain tile floor surfaces.
• Damp wipe and buff glass furnishings.
• Clean entry door glass indoors and outside.
• Remove stains from vertical surfaces such as doors, door frames, and around switches and dividers.
• Wash, clean, and sterilize water coolers.
• Sweep stairways and vacuum carpets if present.
• Clean floors by sweeping and mopping.
• Sanitize bathrooms and restock supplies.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Ability to follow written and oral instructions.
• Minimum of 6 months of experience in a janitorial role.
