Job summary

Brooke Glen Behavioral Hospital in Fort Washington, PA, is seeking an Allied Therapist for a PRN, part-time role. The position involves planning and implementing activity services within an interdisciplinary team and delivering patient care to individuals with psychiatric needs.

Requirements include a Master’s Degree in a relevant field (or a Bachelor's with Certification) and at least three years of related experience.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Creative Arts, Psychology, Drug & Alcohol Counseling or related therapeutic discipline; or Bachelor’s Degree with Certification.
• Three (3) years of related experience, with knowledge of psychiatric patient care techniques; substance abuse experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement activity services as a member of the interdisciplinary treatment team.
• Provide continuous patient care, observation, interaction, and role modeling to patients.
• Work under the direction of the Coordinator of Allied Therapy; perform other duties as assigned.

POSITION SUMMARY

The Allied Therapist is responsible for planning and implementing activity services for assigned program, which involves defining and implementing treatment goals as a member of the interdisciplinary treatment team and providing continuous patient care, observation, interaction, and role modeling to patients under the direction of the Coordinator of Allied Therapy. As well as other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education:

Master’s Degree from an accredited college or university in Creative Arts, Psychology, Drug & Alcohol Counseling or related therapeutic discipline or a Bachelor’s Degree as required above plus Certification.

Experience:

Three (3) years of related experience, with knowledge of psychiatric patient care techniques with understanding of mental illness, substance abuse preferred.
