Job summary

Astrya Global Medical Staffing is seeking an Occupational Therapist for a 13-week assignment in Moses Lake, Washington. The role follows a schedule of 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, five days a week, with a pay rate of $64–$69 per hour.

Responsibilities include evaluating patients, developing care plans, administering therapies, documenting care in the EMR system, and coordinating with staff. Licensing in WA and BLS certification within 3 months are required. Extension potential may apply.

• BLS Healthcare Provider certification within 3 months of hire.

• Administer treatments for physical disabilities from injury, disease, or surgery.
• Re-evaluate patient status and adjust treatment plans as needed.
• Utilize therapeutic modalities to relieve pain and restore function.
• Document care in EMR and maintain reports.
• Educate patients about treatment plans and procedures.
• Complete daily billing for services.
• Use heat, electricity, water, massage and exercise as indicated.
• Prepare evaluations, progress notes and discharge summaries.
• Provide direction to support staff for OT care.

Astrya Global, a San Diego based medical staffing agency, is hiring a OT for a temporary assignment in Moses Lake, Washington. These positions are 13-week contracts with the ability to extend.

Responsibilities for a OT:

• Obtain thorough patient, medical/social history and current status information
• Evaluate each patient as directed by the ordering physician and develop patient care plans
• Administer treatments to patients with physical disabilities resulting from injury, disease, or surgery
• Re-evaluate and assess patient status and initiate changes in treatment programs as needed
• Administer therapeutic treatments utilizing physical agents, biomechanical and neurophysiological principles and assistive devices to relieve pain, restore maximum functions, and prevent disability
• Document all pertinent information utilizing the electronic medical record following direct patient care
• Educate patients and others regarding the treatment plan and procedures
• Complete billing procedures for services provided on a daily basis
• Utilize techniques such as heat, electricity, water, massage, and exercise
• Prepare reports including evaluations/re-evaluations, progress notes, and discharge summaries
• Provide direction to all assisting support staff for occupational therapy patient care
• Efficiently organize daily workload and monitor time management of self and assisting support staff
• Monitor the safety and effectiveness of all patient care equipment and the work environment
• Immediately report all equipment or environmental deficiencies to the Director
• Complete Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider (HCP) level certification within 3 months of hire
• Maintain active Washington state Occupational Therapist license
